Georgia VINE is a free custody-status and notification service. It can carry records from participating Georgia custody sources and lets a user follow one person. Peach County's sheriff pages do not publish a county-specific VINE page, so participation or the freshness of a local record should not be assumed from the statewide portal alone.
Use VINE to monitor and confirm a reported status change. Then use the agency record for formal proof. A Peach County Jail release is confirmed through the Sheriff's Detention Division, Records and Reports, or the court. A state-prison release is confirmed in GDC records. A specific-person check works best with the full legal name and an offender ID when one is known. Similar names can produce several results. Compare age or date information, the reporting agency, and custody location before opening or following a record.
- Open the Georgia VINE portal. Select Georgia if the national interface asks for a state.
- Choose the offender or person search.
- Enter the last name and first name. Add an offender ID if available.
- Review matches for spelling, age or date, agency, and location.
- Open the strongest match and read the current custody status.
- If no match appears, try spelling variations and then move to the correct sheriff, GDC, BOP, ICE, or court source.
No result is not proof of release. The name may differ, data may lag, the source may not participate, the record may have aged out, or the person may be in another custody system. The Peach County released inmate search path gives the official fallback for each system.
Note: Search by agency and identity together; a matching name without the right custody source can point to the wrong person.

What appears depends on the source and timing. VINE is strongest while a person is in custody or when a recent change still remains visible. Register Peach County Release Alerts
The alert option appears from a specific matching record. Georgia's service may offer app, phone, email, or text delivery. Use contact details that will remain active, and protect any PIN or confirmation code because a phone alert may use it to confirm receipt or manage repeated calls.
- Open the correct person record and choose “Get Notified” or its current equivalent.
- Select one or more offered delivery methods.
- Enter the phone number, email address, text number, or app details with care.
- Create or confirm a PIN if prompted, then store it securely.
- Complete registration and check for a confirmation message.
- Update the registration after an agency transfer or a change in contact details.
An alert only reports what the source sends. If the person transfers out of Peach County Jail to GDC, the agency and record may change. Recheck the new custody system rather than assuming the original alert registration follows every transfer.
Georgia VINE Fills a Local Gap
Peach County does not publish an official current-inmate, 24-hour release, 72-hour release, or mugshot feed in the sheriff pages reviewed. Georgia VINE therefore offers a useful alert layer for a named person when a participating record exists. It does not turn into a county-wide recent-release list and does not show a full historical log.

For local proof, call the Peach County Detention Division at 478-825-3435 or Records and Reports at 478-825-8637. Ask whether an existing booking and release record shows the date, time, reason, and transfer agency, if any. A transfer is not the same as release to the community.
Verify Peach County Release Notices
A county-jail custody change should be checked against the Sheriff's Office and the court docket. Bond, dismissal, time served, sentence completion, transfer, and a court order lead to different records. A VINE alert can say that custody changed without explaining whether the person went home or entered another agency's custody.
For a state offender, use GDC Find an Offender. The state record can show current status, most recent institution, and actual release date. GDC is not the right first source for a short Peach County jail stay. If the state record points to parole, the Board and DCS provide the decision and supervision layers.
Federal records require another route. The BOP locator covers federal inmates from 1982 to the present. “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody” means the person is no longer held by BOP, but it does not prove freedom from all other custody or supervision. ICE ODLS is separate and should be used only when immigration custody is plausible.
Peach County Registry Alerts Differ
OffenderWatch is a separate notification system used by the Peach County Sheriff's Office for people required to register as sex offenders. The sheriff says the registry data is updated as publishable address information changes and that residents can register addresses for email alerts. It is not a jail release list and does not cover all released people.
Likewise, the GBI registry is a post-release public status source only for people subject to Georgia registration law. Handle Peach County VINE Delays
Georgia VINE is built for timely notice, not a full list of everyone who left a facility. A person may remain searchable after release, or an old change may no longer appear. Secure records may also be unavailable. Each screen is a snapshot supplied by its reporting source, and that source agency controls the custody record.
Delivery is not guaranteed at a precise moment. Phone service, email filtering, a mistyped address, or agency reporting lag can delay notice. Register more than one offered method when reliable notice matters, then keep direct agency contact details as a backup. Protect a PIN and do not post it where others can read it.
When several matches share a name, compare the agency, age or date, offender number, and location. If identity remains unclear, ask the agency what facts it needs. A narrow question about one booking is more useful than a request for every person with the same surname.
Georgia VINE cannot supply a Peach County release log that the sheriff does not publish. For an older event, request the sheriff record and inspect the court disposition. The docket may show bond, sentence, dismissal, revocation, or warrant. VINE reports custody changes, not the full legal outcome.
Resolve Peach County Alert Conflicts
If an alert and an agency record conflict, note the exact time, status wording, reporting agency, and person identifier shown in VINE. Then ask the source agency whether a later transfer or correction occurred. A screen captured before a database refresh may describe an earlier custody state.

For a GDC case, the state offender record can show an actual release date while DCS and the Board show continuing supervision. Read the sources together instead of forcing one alert to answer every question.
If a VINE entry appears wrong, preserve the exact status, time, and agency shown. Report the issue through the service or source agency, but use the agency's own record for the immediate verification. A corrected notification may arrive after the direct confirmation.
